It’s not so bad turning 75 if you’ve done it right. Which means engaging in work that satisfies you and brings you joy; raising happy, competent and caring children; doing the work necessary to acquire good friends; and being close to siblings, who know you best and share a unique history with you. In pondering this today as I turn 75, I think I have accomplished these things. It has taken a lot of effort and more than a little luck. There’s a bit of right time, right place involved. Like everyone else, I’ve made my share of mistakes, but all and all I’ve come up on the better side of life’s ledger. My table is full of good things.
