Be sure to catch Ken Burn’s 10-part documentary, The Vietnam War, on TV. It is amazing that it was 50 years ago, but I well remember going to Washington to protest with my friend Rob. When we got home to my apartment at 21st and Spruce we each took a tab of LSD and were up all night talking to trees on Spruce Street, trees that actually talked back to us. I lost touch with Rob over the years and a while back happened upon his obituary in the Inquirer. I went to his funeral. Don’t lose touch with old friends, especially ones you tripped with when you were young.
